Thank you for your interest in joining the Oak Island Water Rescue Team, a dedicated all-volunteer group committed to keeping our community safe. Our team consists of 24 skilled Rescue Members who are proficient in operating emergency vehicles with trailers, conducting boat and drone operations, and performing mud rescues. OIWR provides all the necessary training and equipment to ensure our members are well-prepared for any situation. To become a Rescue Member, you must be at least 18 years old and reside in or near Oak Island, NC.
In addition to our rescue operations, OIWR has a supportive auxiliary team that plays a vital role in our success, assisting with fundraising, administrative tasks, and other support activities.
